@kdfrawg Still enjoying it.

@kdfrawg Bembo just ate some burnt sienna. In rock form. I hope it’s not too toxic…

I went to the Lake District as a toddler, when we lived in Blackpool, but not since then. And with grandparents in Fleetwood, the Fylde coast was the one we saw most of. When we crossed the Pennines we went to Huddersfield. No beaches there.

Because I’ve always lived in the West, I suppose. And the Yorkshire branch of the family wasn’t near the coast.

Looks nice! I don’t know that I’ve ever been to the Yorkshire coast. I wonder why.

Yes, we have a local council bi-election coming up.

Except when you’re on a train, probably. Hmmm. No idea then.

Is it plugged in? Sometimes that happens if the power goes off briefly — I noticed it a lot on French trains.

Any book is bound to lose a lot of detail when it’s made into a film. You might be able to keep more if it’s a serial, but I suspect people want separate stories for that. I don’t know if you can stretch a single story out over more than three or four episodes at most.
