My granny used to make a coffee cake that put me off coffee-flavoured baking for decades.

When I started work, we had a BBC Model B in the office, as well as a little Hewlett Packard thing and a terminal to the site admin computer. That was my introduction to computers. I didn’t encounter Atari or Sinclair, just vaguely heard of them.

When it was called programming & you had to do it yourself because nobody sold it?

So they say. I don’t do coffee flavoured baking often, so I just use a shot of espresso if I need it.

@kdfrawg And his best spaniel, “I really don’t want to believe this of you” look.

@kdfrawg I ended up with 6 almond croissants and 12 pains aux raisins. I’ll take four of each up to my parents’ with us at the weekend. (Don’t all guests bring their own viennoiseries?)

@kdfrawg He wouldn’t like that!

@kdfrawg They could rise in the post & be ready to bake when they reach you…
